Workshops

In early 1990’s, widespread interest in the Circle Percussion concerts with Japanese drums led to the development of courses in Japanese drumming. Spectators wanted to experience personally the combination of sound and movement.

Circle Percussion offers two distinct kinds of workshops.

a) Taiko workshop

This workshop concentrates on the musical, technical and physical aspects of Japanese drumming, where the entertainment factor has top priority. This workshop is particularly suitable for corporate excursions or private projects.

The group dynamic makes this workshop a happy and intense experience and indirectly, you also benefit from the team-building experience.

b) Oil Drum workshop

With 50 to 100 participants (or more on request), this is the largest workshop Circle Percussion gives.
The participants play on oil drums. The large number of drums and rhythms that are simple but that really appeal to the imagination, very quickly places both the trainer and the participants under the spell of rhythm!

An important feature is that everybody participates at his or her own physical and mental potential. Each one plays at his own level.

It goes without saying that all Circle Percussion trainers have a thoroughly professional background in music education.
